Karmine Alers (Guest Vocalist)

Best known for starring in the Broadway musical hit, RENT, Karmine Alers has had the pleasure of sharing her voice and talents not only on the Great White Way, but also internationally. Her experience ranges from pop entertainment – being signed onto Atlantic Records at the tender age of 18 – to performing musicals in amphitheaters across the nation. Karmine offers her real life experience and passion to you, and is honored to bring Broadway to your doorstep.

Born and raised in New York, Karmine began singing and choreographing with her sisters in their tenement apartment in Manhattan. She attended the High School of Performing Arts which gave her motivation to jump into the audition scene soon after graduating. She immediately was hired to be in a 3-girl pop group, “3RD Party,” and in the wake of the mid-90s dance-pop movement, 3rd Party toured the country and performed on TV shows such as Regis and Kelly, Rupaul, Jenny Jones, and TODAY Show. Karmine’s career as a recording artist continued, as she landed a solo recording contract with UKʼs Beggars Banquet then again as a 3-girl group on A & M Records.

Her career then led her back in the direction she started with and always dreamed of pursing on a professional level – live theater. After several grueling auditions, she landed the national tour of the critically acclaimed rock musical, RENT. Immediately after the tour, Karmine was asked to join the show in New York City and the dream of a lifetime – to be on Broadway – came true.

Karmine stayed with the company for 8 years on and off, while she pursued other roles.

She later played another dream role of hers as Aida in the Elton John/ Tim rice version of “ AIDA”Since then she has gone back in the studio and recorded a solo pop rock album entitled “For You” available on ITUNES and www.airgomusic.com

Karmine stars in a film called “ Naked as we Came” .
